Myrtle Beach Restaurants

Welcome to the Myrtle Beach Restaurants Section of Our Website - Good Info for Snowbirds and Those Who Think Outside the Coupon Books!

We have heard, "Don't go to any restaurant that advertises heavily..." When one is either on vacation or in a new location (such as was the case when we became Myrtle Beach SC Snowbirds in 2008), it is easy to fall into the hands of the coupon books when looking for places and attractions to explore. We have since learned in our two (so far) seasons of winter living in Myrtle Beach, SC, that the coupon books are just not meant for people like us.

True, there are great attractions in the Myrtle Beach area - and maybe once we're retired or simply have more time, we just might try some of them. But we are not here on vacation. So that means we need to try to stay away from thinking like vacationers so that we can stretch our budget throughout the winter.

That said, we still really enjoy dining out.  Part of this is because we love to cook, and we thoroughly enjoy comparing what we make to what we can find in a restaurant. Another reason is because when one works from home (as do we with our online website writing work), it's easy to become somewhat hermit-like, and not leave.

Fortunately for us, our two winters in the Myrtle Beach, SC area have found us right on the ocean, which is both soothing and inspiring. Plus, we enjoy meeting people, and whenever we dine out, we tend to get to know the owners - or at least get a feel for a place from the locals. And visiting Myrtle Beach restaurants is a great way to do it all.

So, we thought we would include a section here for people looking for some fun dining adventures that you just are not going to find in the coupon books! Also, if you would prefer "eating in" but still have a hankering for some "Famous Restaurant" type food, you might enjoy this little tidbit! Get a load of this: Click Here for "As Seen on TV" Official Secret Restaurant Recipes! Let me know if you can replicate any of the recipes! I'll give it a go, as well...

While we've eaten at a variety of different places over the course of the last 2 winters, we'll write about a handful of them here. At this time, we would like to invite you to learn a little about the following places:
E-Noodles Asian Bistro (North Myrtle Beach branch)
Ciao! Italian Restaurant
Mr. Fish
Little Brazil
Flamingo Grill
Five Guys Burgers and Fries
Little Italy
Gino's Pizza
Texas Roadhouse and Grill
and a few Chinese places (yes, we'll address some of the buffets as well)
