Review of our visit to Banner Elk, North Carolina - including the Blue Ridge Village resort, one of the resorts in the GRN Gold Crown inventory.

In May 2009, we travelled to Banner Elk, North Carolina for 2 reasons - 1) to take a little vacation on the way home from being away in South Carolina all winter, and 2) to see if the North Carolina "High Country" might be a place we would consider moving to. What an absolutely gorgeous area!

First, though, as a general overview, we thought the area was wonderful, and absolutely worth the trip IF...
- IF you like beautiful mountain scenery and fresh air
- IF you enjoy American history
- IF you enjoy hiking and/or other outdoor activities
- IF you enjoy listening to music - mountain music, bluegrass...
- IF you love meeting friendly people

Well, that about covers that, doesn't it! :) Yes, the Blue Ridge Mountains are wonderful!
